The EduFarm-in-City, an 8,000 sq ft vertical vegetable farm has taken root in the Wangsa Maju suburb of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Deemed to be the largest indoor vertical farm located inside a shopping mall, the EduFarm will utilise controlled environment agriculture (CEA) along with other digital technologies developed by Agroz Group, to produce high quality, clean and pesticide-free leafy green vegetables. 

The farm which comprises of an experience centre and activity room, serves the purpose of educating the public regarding the possibility and benefits of vegetable farming in the heart of the city. The nutrient rich leafy greens grown at the farm are sold at various branches of AEON supermarkets across the Klang Valley. 

Through its CEA model, Agroz is indulging in growing practices aimed at improving Malaysia’s food safety, food security and sustainability, while at the same time reducing the need for refrigeration and storage. Vegetables grown in the farm include lettuce, kale and arugula, along with other local varieties such as nai pak and siew pak choy.
